How We Do Retirement

  Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. Happy Sabbath! Here! Have a Jesus Picture! He loves little kids....and He loves you too! Church went as usual. Sacrament Meeting. Sunday School. Missionary Correlation Meeting. We had the possibility of teaching two lessons after church, but both fell thru. One was sick, the other just couldn't. That's how it goes sometimes. The excitement today was that the mission is forming a Spanish District for all the Spanish Missionaries to meet weekly with each other. Great news! The work is hastening! Back at home, we studied, read, watched church videos, went through the roster of families in our congregation and decided which ones need a visit this week. And then, keeping with our football movie theme, we watched "Facing the Giants". Great movie about overcoming odds with God's help. And never ever giving up. Right up my alley!   Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. HAPPY SABBATH!! Here! Have a Jesus Picture! Just as I promised last night, I wore my brand new BYU tie to church today in celebration of the big win. A few people noticed.... Sacrament Meeting. Men's Meeting. Missionary Correlation Meeting. No lessons set today, so we came right back home. And I wasn't feeling all that hot (a bit of vertigo), so took a really long nap, which felt really good. After the coma, we read, ate some snacks, watched some church videos. After a dinner of leftovers, we watched the movie "My Sister's Keeper." Great movie and very relevant for those living with cancer (that would be us both). The book is better though, as it almost always is. The critter camera sent me two pictures today. One of a huge rack of antlers. (A huge reindeer lost on his way home to the North Pole??) And another of enough snow to make the branches on the tree cover the camera and set it off. Now we're talking about trying to go...
