Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. HAPPY SABBATH!!! Here! Have a Jesus Picture! He LOVES YOU!! And if you're wondering why He, the most perfect person ever to live on the Earth, needed to be baptized and how He was, let me know! I have some friends that would love to teach you about it! First! We are safe from the fires. We moved out of Spokane in 2020 and live about 25 miles South. We are not directly impacted by the fires, just a touch smokey out. Many people are though. Stay safe and prayers for all. We woke up in Renton with the goal of getting home by nightfall. First, we dressed up in our best church duds and found a congregation to visit and worship with. Then, back at the AirBnb, we packed up and hit the road. (Frivvy and Gussy were ecstatic when we told them we were going back home. They travel very well, but always love being home more.)   Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. Happy Sabbath!! Here! Have a Jesus Picture! He LOVES YOU!! Usual and typical Sunday. Sacrament Meeting. And then.........oh wait! NO! This is not typical and usual! The Primary President approached us and asked if we could teach the older class of 9,10,11 or so year olds. RIGHT NOW!! Of course we can! And we did. One of them had just returned from a family vacation to Hawaii (lucky kids!) and was showing everyone a picture of the Hawaii temple. So I told them a story about that temple. And how Hanna's Dad served his mission in Hawaii. Plus he was stationed there just after the war ended. And we also talked about her brother's missionary call to Mexico he received just this past week. By then, Hanna had scanned the lesson manual and had come up with a question for them to think about. And then, just like that, time was up! Great experience! And frankly, much easier than teaching and dealing with adults... And then Missionary Correlation Meeting...
