Merry Christmas!! 12-28-24

  Retired Life. Sunday. The alarm did go off, but not that early. We attended a congregation that meets at 11:30. Regardless, below is a great Jesus Picture. Merry Christmas. The Walnut Congregation (because the church is on Walnut Street) had put together an incredible Christmas Program that we got to enjoy thoroughly. And then our day consisted of hitting the road and staying there until we were back at Deer Lodge at the same Airbnb we stayed at on the way down. A couple of potty breaks, a lunch break. Pulling in just as it got dark. Same old same old. I remember being much younger with a van full of children and driving straight through from Spokane to Provo ... and the speed limit being only 55. Took forever and tons of caffeine and patience, but we thought nothing of it. It sure is nice to be retired and to travel at whatever pace we want. And to stop whenever we want for whatever reason we want. Retired Life. Monday. The goal today was to get back home before Christmas arrive...

Christmas Party 12-21-24

  Retired Life. Sunday. The alarm went off while it was still dark outside (which ain't saying much, really) so that we could make it to church on time. We looked at the below Jesus Picture, remembered why church makes us happy, and got up and got going. After church, (and a nap) we visited Hanna's Mom and brought her in the Sacrament. Later in the day, Del and Ella came for a visit. I grilled them up some delicious steak and we had some good talks. I tried to fix the star on the Christmas Tree, but soon after, it was leaning out the other way. What's with that?? Retired Life. Monday. It was a snowy day out. So, we followed Frivvy's fine example and spent most of the day indoors. And on the couch. We did run to town to pick up another prescription. And we put together Christmas Boxes for our posterity to be mailed tomorrow. In the evening, we watched a prerecorded football game. Colorado vs Kansas St. Glad to be retired so we can have down days like this. The star is le...
