Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. Happy Sabbath friends! Here, have a Jesus Picture!! Sacrament Meeting. (We both testified. In Spanish even.) Sunday School. Missionary Correlation Meeting. Then we drove over to the other church building, found some shade to park in, ate lunch, read, and took a nap. For about two hours. And then we went inside and attended a baptism the Chuukeese congregation was having. We didn't understand a word they said, but the atmosphere was festive (including Yooka Laylee prelude music) and the spirit was strong. Two other folks who attended decided also to be baptized later on in the upcoming weeks. The work is hastening!! There are three awesome missionaries that serve this Chuukeese congregation. And they will spend their entire mission doing so. No transfers to another area. The language and customs are difficult and this is a hard mission. But these guys are awesome! They work hard, follow the spirit, and provide a lot of service. And they have fun do...
And the winner is.................. Jesus did not come last night, but it felt like He might there for a while. WHAT A STORM!!! And our family had a contest to see who had the most wind damage. See results below. And several burned up trees came down, one blocking their driveway. Plus Del's FedEx Plane was delayed and he couldn't start his courier route until late and so had a real late arrival back home and Ella had to deal with the lack of heat by herself. (Trust me, she can handle it.) - Dominick's place sustained a mudslide closing his driveway, plus a bunch of trees came down, one barely ...
Retired/Missionary Life. Sunday. Happy Sabbath!! Here!! Have a Jesus Picture! And a picture of Hanna with Hermana Racker. They were celebrating the fact that they both wore blue to church today. I don't understand this. Guys just don't do this. (Unless you're an AP...) "Twinning is winning..." they chanted. Gotta be a confusing Sister Missionary thing, right? Sacrament Meeting. Sunday School. Missionary Correlation Meeting. Went to teach a lesson, but the lessonee was not home and had been called in to work. So, we went home, took naps, read, watched a few church videos, and then ate leftover Chicken Moroccan Soup while watching the movie "Plain Truth". Great flick. (I found it on Youtube.) Hope your Sabbath was swell! SPECIAL SHARE JUST FOR DEL AND ELLA: So, a few weeks ago we were finishing up having dinner with a Steward Couple in CDA. It was about 6:30 and we didn't have another appointment until 8:00. I figured we had been busy enough during t...
