How We Do Retirement

  Retired Life. Sunday. Happy Sabbath. Here! Enjoy a Jesus Picture. We are both fighting off colds, so we slept in. (This is a generally accepted behavior of retirement.) Watched General Conference. Took a nap. Watched more General Conference. Fed and visited with Del and Ella who came over for a visit. Took another nap. Then read some and now we're going back to bed again. Before conference started, I predicted four locations where I thought they would announce new temples. I nailed one of them. Congrats to South Dakota! Last fall during our Mayo Checkup Trip, we worshipped in the temple in Omaha and then the one in Billings. Not including the breakdown, it took us over three days to drive from one to the other. Plus Rapid City had a bunch of congregations and were as friendly as all get out. That's how they made my list. Retired Life. Monday. We got a call from the Assisted Living Center that Hanna's mom was not doing well, so we hurried back to Fairfield to see her. She indeed was struggling and a visit was a good thing. The rest of the day was filled with naps, reading, naps, watching church videos, naps, and then finally we watched a movie. Togo, a great Dog Movie. I recommend. I included some pictures of our dogs just because. During the movie, an entire box of Kleenex somehow got destroyed. I found the box itself, ripped apart, out on the deck. Neither dog would rat the other out, a sign of true friendship. And this is a sign of being old people. This travesty happened right at our feet, but we were so enthralled in the movie, we didn't even notice it go down... Retired Life. Monday.
