How We Do Retirement

  Retired Life. Sunday. The alarm went off way too early so we could make it to church on time. For a moment, we hoped the roads were too bad to go anywhere so we could go back to sleep. But then we looked at the Jesus Picture below, remembered why church makes us happy, and got up and got going. The roads were not slick anyways... Choir Practice. Sacrament Meeting with choir performing beautifully. Men's Meeting. Back home, lunch, rested, talked football. Took the Sacrament in to Hanna's Mom. Back home again, took a super long nap. In the evening, we read, watched church videos, ate leftover soup, and watched the movie "Christmas with the Kranks". One of my favorite Christmas movies of all time because it features an accountant as the main character. A funny one even! Who knew? Bonus, a picture of our decorated house from a distance.   Retired Life. Sunday. The alarm went off way too early so we could make it to church on time. We looked at the below Jesus Picture, remembered why going to church makes us happy, and got up and got going. Even Frivvy. Sacrament Meeting. Sunday School. Choir Practice. Back home, I fixed a tomato and tuna salad for lunch. We then took the Sacrament in to Hanna's Mom. Back home again, we were exhausted and tired and all that. So we went for a nap. And woke up HOURS later. Old people need rest. In the evening we read, ate Thanksgiving leftovers, and watched the last of The Chosen. Nice sunset out tonight. Retired Life. Monday. All day long. All day. It was foggy and cold out. It didn't even warm up enough to melt last night's frost. So, we didn't leave the house except to take Frivvy on his walk. I spent most of the day updating our budget, paying bills, creating financial statements, pretending it was tax season. And I got the tree put up, positioned, and lit up. Merry C...
